Indec’s intimate knowledge of the technical public-private partnership contract documentation provided a seamless transition from the pre-contract phase of the project to the post-contract delivery phase.

Indec act as the technical advisor for the High Capacity Metro Trains Public-Private Partnership project.

The availability-based Public-Private Partnership model required the State’s nominated consortium to be responsible for the design, manufacture/construction, maintenance and financing of 65 high capacity metro trains and two simulators as well as a new train depot in Pakenham East (including a train maintenance facility and stabling yard) and a Light Service Facility at Calder Park to support the ongoing whole-of-asset life maintenance and operation.

Our systems engineering and specialist technical capabilities allowed the application of full systems assurance and associated reliability, availability, maintainability and safety activities throughout the delivery phase of the project, including the technical review process as well as testing and commissioning of both the specialist equipment and the systems as a whole.
