Indec is providing systems engineering support to the software and ICT intensive Land 200 Tranche 2 program, delivering the networked Battle Management System (BMS) and Battlespace Communications System (Land).
The Land 200 Tranche 2 is a multi-phased Major Capital Equipment acquisition project delivering capability essential to integrating all Army’s deployed systems – weapons, sensors and platforms. The Battlespace Communications System (Land) provides tactical communications infrastructure and Battle Management System (BMS) for thousands of users across the land environment, including BMS integrated into:
- Armoured and soft-skinned vehicles and other platforms
- Dismounted, man-portable technology for soldiers on foot
- Deployable ICT infrastructure in Combat Brigade Headquarters
Land 200 also delivers a BMS simulation capability to support training and exercise preparedness
Integrated within the Commonwealth Program Office, Indec’s support is focused on requirements definition, specification development, verification and planning on the simulation subsystem.
Now in delivery phase with a complicated technical, stakeholder and commercial setting, Land 200 is one of Defence’s most high-profile programs.
